Most Piper Series PB valves and block fittings utilize swivel flange and half-ring connections. A convenient feature of the Series PB Compact Manifold System, this connection consists of the swivel flange, a nipple (or tube) with a half-ring groove, and two half-rings. The nipple-end can be a weld-end, male-threaded, hub-type, or other possibe end configuration including a second half-ring groove to connect another swivel flange.

Faster, Easier
Installations

See the steps below illustrating the ease of installation.

1)

Cut Pipe To
Assembled Length

Measure assembled valve or component and cut pipe to appropriate length.

Swivel Flange Installation Step One

Weld Nipple Ends
To Pipe

Disassemble valve ends and weld the beveled-for-weld nipples to the pipe.

Insert Half-Rings
Into Grooves

Slide Swivel Flanges onto nipples and insert half-rings into grooves.

Slide Flanges Over
Half-Rings

Slide Swivel Flanges over half-rings to lock flanges into place.

Position Body And
Install Cpscrews

Install valve body between flanges, rotating flanges as necessary, and secure with 12-point capscrews.

Optimum Flow Technology

Piper swivel flange Tubes and Nipples are designed with the same "Optimum Flow Technology" as all series PB components offering superior flow efficiency by using valve and component bores that are sized to closely or identically match the manifold piping, with virtually no transition areas, thereby reducing the horsepower required to push media through the line.

Unlimited End
Connections

Unlimited end connections are available with the swivel flange and half-ring connection. Some examples are Weld-End, Male-Threaded, Hub-Type, or other possible end configurations, and combinations thereof, including a second half-ring groove to connect another swivel flange.

Easy Component
Removal

The swivel flange is designed to facilitate easy installation and removal of series PB compact manifold components. This design requires minimal line spread to facilitate easy removal of components from service for repair.
