Piper Valve Systems Manufacturing Facility and Corporate Office Relocation Now Complete
|
Piper Valve Systems, an Oklahoma City based manufacturer of high-pressure ball valves and check valves, has announced its relocation to 1020 East Grand Boulevard. The new 70,000 sq. ft. facility sits on 10 acres along the revitalized East Grand Boulevard industrial corridor.
"We needed to expand our production capability to meet demand for our product lines," said Rick Piper, company president. "It's a move we've been planning for quite some time. Late last year all the factors came together, and we decided to go for it."
The facility consists of a 40,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled production plant with assembly, testing, warehousing, quality inspection and shipping areas; a 6,000 sq. ft. machine shop, occupied by Piper subsidiary, Triumph Machine Works; and 24,000 sq. ft. of office space. The ground floor office area consists of the engineering, inventory control, purchasing and executive departments. The sales, customer service, project management and marketing departments are located on the second floor.
"Every inch of this facility was purpose-built for our particular needs," said Britt Piper, Vice President of Marketing. "We wanted this to be a state-of-the-art workplace, with a safe and comfortable environment for our associates."
The production area features 30-foot ceilings painted with reflective white finish, flow-through forced ventilation, sky lights and year-round climate control. These measures were taken to improve the workplace environment and to optimize energy efficiency. The break room in the production area has steel and concrete reinforced walls and ceiling, and will serve as a safe room in the event of severe weather. The landscaped grounds feature an irrigation system and areas for associates to take meals or breaks outdoors.
"We built in ample space for our continued growth in personnel and production capacity, as we expect to be here for a long time," said Rick Piper. "We are constantly looking for opportunities to expand our product offering, and now we have the space to accommodate those future demands."
Architects for the project were Pascal Aughtry & Associates PLLC and the general contractor was Timberlake Construction, both of Oklahoma City. For more information please contact Brooke Harry III at 405-671-2026, or by Instant Message. Refer to News Article #00002 in your message.
